OUR STORY
Our story begins in the early 60’s as a story of invitation. Grace Lutheran Church was founded as a mission congregation of the former American Lutheran Church. Our sister church, First Lutheran, envisioned starting a vibrant Christian ministry on the north side of Detroit Lakes. At that time, there weren’t any town churches north of Highway 10. In 1965 the dream became a reality when Grace Lutheran Church became an official congregation with almost 300 members.
